Dear Mr. Alexander:

It is my privilege to make special note of the accomplishments of Ms. Mary Sherwood, an associate here at Alexander and Bryant, and I would like to highly recommend her for a partnership with the firm. As we are considering taking on a new partner this year from among our excellent staff of associates, it is my opinion that Ms. Sherwood is the best choice.

She brings to the table a unique life experience and energy that will expand and enhance our service offerings to our clients. With 14 years of experience, the last 3 here at Alexander and Bryant, it is my view that Ms. Sherwood has earned her partnership and brings her own special skill set to the firm which will benefit our clients.

Her knowledge of civil litigation and plaintiff’s law is unsurpassed. She has proven herself to be an expert at assisting local governments with potential liability claims and has even performed a risk analyses in order to prevent liability issues from arising among some of our clients. In addition to her work with local governments, Ms. Sherwood has considerable expertise in the areas of corporate finance, transactions and securities.

Personal injury litigation is another area in which Ms. Sherwood has a proven record of excellence. She has patiently taken the necessary time with our clients to make certain they understand all of their options. While injured clients are focusing on recovering, Ms. Sherwood has handled negotiations relating to their medical bills, lost wages, insurance payments, vehicle repair and replacement and compensation for pain and suffering. She has represented our clients with compassion and determination making a real difference in their lives.

In the way of background information, Ms. Sherwood earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a Minor in African American Studies from Penn State University in 1994 continuing on to earn her Juris Doctor also from Harvard University in 1997. Ms. Sherwood lives here in Alexander County and is a strong believer in giving back to the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of Restoration Community Resources, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating teenagers on entrepreneurship.

I hope you will give Mary Sherwood the consideration she deserves. I am happy to meet with you at your convenience should you wish to discuss this further.
