Route Sales Manager Responsibilities and Duties

Plan, assign and oversee daily route projects to ensure servicing clients as per standards, hire, cover route and perform management activities.

Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns as per schedule, safety rules and label instructions.

Drive vehicle to client location.

Attend customer requests on time.

Support sales to current clients through contact on route and telemarketing.

Measure potential customers’ lawn to estimate cost of TruGreen’s lawn care service accurately.

Conduct daily three minute, 360 degree truck and equipment inspection prior to taking and immediately after returning vehicle.

Offer feedback to route sales employees to recognize, coach on route growth chances, performance productivity, service partnerships, safety, vehicle inspection and client retention risk.

Review weekly route volume, determine gains from minimizing costs and support route sales staff to capture opportunities for base business growth through Service STARS technique.

Handle business records and administrative standards to include personnel records, delivery and invoice, product inventories, DOT requirements and pricing communication.

Offer emergency service coverage to customers operating around the clock.

Complete production reports, sales and invoice forms, daily vehicle inspection report.

Suggest and market additional cleaning solutions to current clients for enhancing satisfaction.

Partner with current clients to understand their dishwashing and cleaning needs.

Offer cost effective cleaning and sanitation solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
