Materials Specialist Responsibilities and Duties

Order materials and ensure availability.

Resolve non-conforming material issues.

Research on and resolve Daily Shortage root cause.

Ensure daily floor walks and receive dock to investigate and resolve material issues.

Support material transfers including Integrated Supplier Program.

Plan production activities and correct inventory inaccuracies.

Visit internal and external suppliers.

Manage material Phase In/Phase Out and reduce inventory levels.

Reduce obsolete material.

Document raw material movement.

Handle raw material movement from warehouse to production locations.

Lead material moves to Work in Process locations on data from transfer reports.

Check and act on messages from computerized inventory system.

Manage attendance and punctuality.

Move, load, store and retrieve materials, supplies and raw stock.
