Here is the Professional Paraprofessional Cover Letter Example:

Dear Ms. Lori Stone,

I am writing to enquire about the Paraprofessional position listed in today’s employment advertisements. I would very much like to apply for the job, and hope you’ll consider my resume.

I am an educational support worker with ten years’ experience in a variety of settings and at all primary and secondary levels. I have worked in mainstream and special education classrooms, I have assisted learning support teachers with pull-out sessions for students with learning disabilities, and I have worked in an ESL setting as well.

My academic training is as a certified educational assistant. I also have a certificate in special education, and a diploma in teaching English and French as second languages.

My current posting is in a lower elementary setting, providing support for English language learners both in mainstream classrooms and during one-on-one pull-out sessions. I assist both classroom teachers and the ESL specialist teacher in planning and implementing learning activities, and also in evaluating students and keeping records of their academic progress.

In addition to classroom duties, I supervise a larger group of students over the lunch hour. During this time we run a program that exposes them to the French language and culture. This fun lunchtime activity is a precursor to enrolment in French immersion classes. Parents find it helpful in assessing their children’s readiness to learn a second language. It also affords students a head start, either for French immersion or second language courses taken later in their academic careers.

I would love the opportunity to discuss my credentials in person. Please call (555)-555-5555.

Respectfully,

Your Signature
