Analytical Cytogenetic Technologist Cover Letter Example

I am applying for the cytogenetic technologist position that was recently listed by your company Health Network Laboratories.

I currently hold a bachelor’s degree in biology and would have no problem passing any background checks as required or showing proof of full immunizations. I also understand that there is drug testing and since I do not use drugs, I could pass this test also. I am also certified in cytogenetics technology and have a great deal of experience as a lab technician which allowed me to earn this certification.

In my previous employment I was responsible for analyzing various samples and gathering samples of bodily fluids and other bodily materials. I also had many hours of checking genetic chromosomes and classifying it as clones and karyotypes. I am also able to make evaluations of karyotypic finding and can prepare all slides to see if there is anything unusual.

`I have great written communication skills and can prepare both lists and reports for all cases that can be analyzed at a later date. I also can keep logs of those cases that are unusual and can conduct all research to further explore the causes. Monitoring pathological results is vital as well as preparing a summary of the samples while performing all tests. I am also able to coordinate with other departments in order to come up with conclusive evidence for those samples that show abnormalities.
