Dear Ms. Williams,

I recently passed by the bank and noticed you had an opening for the position of Credit Officer. I would be pleased if you would consider me for the job. I am enclosing my resume and copies of my reference letters. I believe you will find them more than satisfactory.

My current employer is Carver Federal Savings Bank, where I assist the Loan Administrator and Account Managers in the performance of their tasks. The majority of my work involves monitoring and managing accounts in the commercial and real estate loan portfolio. I am also involved in the promotion and sale of credit products, and in recommending credit applications for acceptance or rejection.

I hold a college diploma in commerce, and am presently pursuing a certificate in business management. Eventually I would like to return to university to complete a business degree.

My competency in the area of accounting is solid. My job requires me to prepare trial balances, to assist in the reconciliation of the accounts receivable ledger to the general ledger, and to prepare and distribute customer statements. I am also responsible for resolving payment disputes and other billing issues. Where necessary I escalate issues around sensitive or unresolved matters to the Loan Administrator.

I am very excited about the potential to join your team, and I am confident you will see I am an asset to your company. You can reach me at (555)-555-5555 at your convenience. I will be happy to provide any additional details you require.

Respectfully,

Clayton Mobley
