I am applying for the role of Army Nurse with Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and I have the experience and training needed to fill this position.
I received my bachelor’s degree in Nursing before I joined the military and now I would like to use my education to help my fellow comrades. This is an important position that takes a special type of person to fill and I know that I am that person.
I have the ability to assess the situation and evaluate patients to determine the extent of injuries and then determine the order in which they need to be treated. I have experience prepping patients and following doctor’s orders to provide the best possible care.
I have the ability to prepare reports, document information and record all information on charts and computer systems when applicable. I can work in difficult environments and maintain professionalize and efficiency. I know how to improviser when necessary and I can stay calm even in the most stressful situations.
I understand that soldiers have special needs that must be addressed as well as their injuries. They need someone that can relate to their situation and this is something that I can do. I know that I have the interpersonal skills needed to help these patients during this most difficult time in their life.
I have the knowledge and skills to make an excellent nurse and I hope that you will consider my request for this position. I anxiously await your response.
