Warrant Officer Recommendation Letter

A warrant officer recommendation letter is for an individual who is already in the military and wants to begin the training and testing process for the position of warrant officer. Applicants can be recommended by anyone, but a letter from a military officer or member of congress would be impressive.

Sample:

This sample warrant officer recommendation letter is written on behalf of a sergeant first class who wishes to get on the warrant officer track. It is written by a major commander who has supervised the applicant for the past year and is qualified to speak of his character and capabilities.

To the Warrant Officer Accession Board:

It is my honor and privilege to recommend Sergeant First Class (SFC) Robert A. Charlesfor selection as a Warrant Officer. SFC Charles is an expert at technical tasks and applications, brings valuable skills to the table, offers guidance to subordinates and shares his expertise with commanders. After observing SFC Charles for the last year I can say that he has consistently impressed me with his technical skills and his leadership abilities.

At this time SFC Charles is serving as the Ground Mobile Forces (GMF) Control Supervisor in the Regional Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Support Center (RSSC). He is responsible for the planning, engineering and coordination of satellite communications network accesses for three unified combatant commanders. SFC Charles works well and interacts with individuals from all services including government civilians and representatives from foreign countries. He has proven to be highly competent in all of his assignments, particularly multiple missions with the Army and the Space and Missile Defense Command. He consistently displays behavior that would be expected of a Warrant Officer.

Specifically my recommendation for SFC Charles is as an Army Network Management Technician. He has the proper skill set and more than adequate experience to handle challenging situations in a fast-paced environment. There are few men under my command who are more determined to succeed than SFC Charles. He attacks every assignment with vigor staying completely focused on the goal. He is an expert in multiple areas of technology and clear and concise in his explanations to subordinates and commanding officers.

SFC Charles has exhibited honor and valor in service to his country. He served valiantly in Operation Enduring Freedom leading a ten-man team into hostile territory to install a communication network in record time. In addition, he has already graduated with honors from the Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course (ANCOC) making the Commandant’s List in the process. In my opinion SFC Charles would represent the Warrant Officer Corps in a superb manner.

I encourage you to take a close look at SFC Robert A. Charles for the Warrant Officer program. In my view he is the caliber of serviceman needed in this program, and I am confident that he will exceed all qualifications if selected. Please contact me if you have further questions regarding SFC Charles’s qualifications for the Warrant Officer program.
