Shipping Clerk Responsibilities and Duties

Verify product dimension and weight to select shipping method.

Prepare freight quotations.

Prepare labels and bills of lading.

Verify and communicate shipping confirmation and payment terms.

Track and monitor all calls from customers regarding shipping.

Assist and support sales, export and warehouse departments.

Maintain and update warehouse scorecards.

Keep track of the trailer inventory.

Resolve issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.

Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.

Ensure all safety controls are in place.

Ensure compliance to environmental management and systems.
