Pipeline Integrity Engineer Responsibilities and Duties

Prepare and implement Pipeline Direct Assessment Programs complying with DOT 192 and 195 requirements.

Ensure adhere to NACE standards and current industry suggested practices.

Initiate and analyze new Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) like Long Range Guide Wave Technique (LRGWT).

Evaluate C-Scan and Guide Wave technologies to assess during IMP program.

Perform as technical consultant to customer to recommend IMP program process enhancement.

Perform as department liaison to NACE along with perform code regulators to fetch new codes and company standards.

Develop IMP technical proposals as well as DA technical presentations.

Manage and monitor ICDA and ECDA programs to evaluate client’s liquid along with gas transmission pipelines.

Develop and supervise budgets, deliverables and schedules.

Monitor ICDA plus ECDA field crews to conduct Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM), Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG), Alternate Current Voltage Gradient (ACVG), Close Interval Survey (CIS), LRGWT, critical angle.

Perform testing on liquid as well as gas pipelines.

Evaluate performance and safety problems filed crews plus third party contractors.

Conduct comparative IMP vendors’ evaluation including side-by-side comparisons.

Ensure to summarize results into report inclusive of recommendations.

Lead pipeline integrity efforts plus programs for allocated pipeline systems.
