Prepare and maintain accurate medial records for appointments, patient phone calls, prescription refills and triage requests.
Interact with patients, healthcare providers and other medical personnel regarding update of medical records.
Update patient records and ensure its availability for continuity of care.
Maintain patients’ information in computer relating to identification number, medical record number, appointment data and chart location.
Log and route incoming records to providers for review and analysis.
Ensure chart availability for patients seen at multiple locations.
Create new patient records on established guidelines.
Create logistics in troubleshooting problems relating to maintenance and updating of medical records.
Initiate quality service to ensure accuracy of filing and chart availability.
Ensure compliance with statutes and internal policies & procedures prior to processing requests.
