Chaplain Resident Responsibilities and Duties

Provide emotional and spiritual care to patients, families and staffs.

Develop warm, helpful, trustful and non-judgmental relationships with patients and families.

Maintain tolerance and composure in stressful and emotional situations.

Serve as a resource in interdisciplinary team for patient care services.

Assess emergency situations and address them appropriately.

Help families to deal with issues of crisis, grief, death and bereavement.

Provide pastoral care to individuals of different ages, religions, and lifestyles.

Discuss about organ donation with patients and families at the right time.

Plan and organize spiritual activities for patients and families.

Provide special religious and sacramental service to families when needed.

Update patient records with pastoral care entries and assessments.

Maintain documentation of observations and services provided.

Generate pastoral services reports to Administrator on monthly basis.
