Advise clients on proper care of various types and species of trees.

Diagnose and treat trees with insect infestations and diseases.

Maintain and manage trees by trimming and pruning.

Identify diseases, pests and insect infestations that affect the health of trees and shrubs.

Inspect, assess and maintain the health of trees and shrubs.

Maintain and manage arborist equipment, tools, implements and other climbing apparatus.

Interact with ecologists and environmentalists in protecting plants, trees and shrubs.

Conduct research for and provide guidance to lumber agencies and companies.
