Dear Ms. Ann Fowler,

I am applying for the open position of Wind Turbine Technician with Broadwind Energy, Inc.

I have acquired my associate degree in applied science where I gained a good understanding of the technology used in the design of the turbines along with its basic functions. My courses covered wind economics that explained how turbines produce green energy and the benefits they provide. Courses also covered hydraulic equipment, mechanical devices, the electrical power industry and electrical systems.

I am mechanically inclined with a complete understanding of the mechanical parts used in building turbines and the function they serve, which gives me the skills needed to conduct routine maintenance checks. I also have the mechanical skills to keep the service vehicles maintained and in good working condition to help keep operations running efficiently.

I possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to set schedules for preventive maintenance to grease bearings, change oil filters, to check the torque of the turbines and to look for wear and tear that could cause potential problems in the near future. When problems are found, I have skills to set up and make repairs in a timely manner.

I know and adhere to all safety rules and regulations at all times including handling hazardous chemicals properly and following good safety rules when using ladders and equipment. I have the ability to stay updated on all new technology, laws and regulations relating to turbines.

You can contact me for an interview by calling (222)-893-1286 and I hope to meet with you soon.
