Dear Mrs. Weston,

I’ve always had a love for books and the knowledge they bring, which is why I was so excited when I learned about the position available within your organization for a school librarian. This is a great opportunity for me to extend my knowledge while doing something I enjoy so much. I would greatly appreciate the chance to share my skills and experience in this field with you.

I possess a master’s degree in education which was acquired from Hardin-Simmons University and worked as a school librarian for a local high school for the past four years. I have the ability to select and order books along with other materials needed within the educational guidelines of the school. Putting together and maintaining schedules for instructional programs by working hand in hand with other staff members is also part of my past experience.

My skills include collecting and promoting informational resources that support the school’s curriculum and helping students find the information they need. I have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with students in a calm and relaxing environment.

I would appreciate the opportunity to extend my knowledge by filling the position within your organization. Please contact me for an interview at (123)-837-3915 when it’s convenient for you.
