I have a degree in engineering and I am currently employed as a product designer with a small company in the area. However, I feel that it is time to move into a more challenging position where I can put my skills and training to good use.

I have experience creating designs for products using both blueprints and computer programs. I have the ability to use a number of different computer programs proficiently for this process. My job includes helping to identify the type of material that is best used for the products being designed and to identify the availability of the material needed.

I also help the engineering team to create prototypes from the approved designs and then perform tests to determine if the design meets the standards of the company and to determine if it is safe to use. After all tests are complete, I present the prototype to upper management for approval. I also adhere to the allotted budget when creating designs and follow all company procedures and policies.

My skills include having the ability to listen and communicate with others verbally and in writing. This is very important in order to create a design that meets the approval of clients. I have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
