I am applying for the patient access representative position at your facility Calvert Memorial Hospital and would like your consideration.

My education includes an associate’s degree in nursing, courses in medical terminology and I have worked in a medical facility for close to five years. The skills I would bring to your facility are the ability to type fifty words a minute, have a working knowledge of the PC/CRT printers. I also have knowledge of the function and relationships within a hospital environment and have great customer service skills and thrive in a fast paced environment. My communication skills, both written and oral offer me the ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications.

In my previous employment I performed patient pre-admission, admission, transfers, and all discharge activities. This included collecting and validating all patients’ demographic and insurance information while obtaining any health, financial and religious information from patients at the time of admission. It was also my duty to prepare patient identification band and complete admission papers along with obtaining all signatures for financial responsibility and treatment procedures from patients or guardians.
