I am very excited about the open position of Nursery Teacher available at Lesueur Nursery School and I would like to take this opportunity to express my interest in the job.

This position requires someone with lots of patience and a real love for children and I have both qualities. Teaching these young children and seeing the joy in their faces each time they learn something new is very rewarding. In addition to having the desire to teach these children, I have the necessary requirements needed to hold this teaching position.

For example, I have an associate degree in early childhood development that focused on the theories of play, psychology, curriculum formation and the basic principles of teaching. I have also earned my Child Development Associate credential and I am CPR certified.

I am familiar with children who have food allergies and I know how to respond in an emergency if something should happen. This is very important with so many children suffering from this type of allergies. I also have the skills to observe the children and to recognize when a child is showing signs of emotional problems or slow development.

In order for children to grow into healthy, well-adjusted adults, it is vital for them to explore the world and learn social skills at an early age. Kids this age learn through play, storytelling and games. Preschool helps them develop emotionally and intellectually and I hope that you will consider me a worthy candidate for this position.
