Dear Ms. Delavega,

I am very excited about the Motorcycle Mechanic position available with Qwik-Bike, Inc. and I have the skills and training needed to be the best applicant for this job.

I have been riding motorcycles since I was old enough to drive legally, so I became very interested in working on my own bikes, which led to choosing a career as a mechanic. I picked up a lot of knowledge and skills through trial and error as I taught myself the basics. Once I learned all I could on my own, I attended a trade school to help fine tune my skills. My classes included calibration, diagnostics testing, engine assembly and mechanical technology.

I have the experience needed to determine the cause of all types of engine problems and then the skills to make the necessary repairs. I am familiar with all the tools used in engine repair and I am very familiar with the electrical systems that power these engines. I noticed that you also offer body repair for bikes and while I am not familiar with this type of repairs, I am a fast learner and I am always willing to learn something new.

I have a great personality and excellent customer service skills needed to make customers feel welcome in this business. This, along with reliable service is what drives repeat business and word of mouth advertisement that will help earn your company a great reputation. I also have a valid motorcycle license and a great driving record, so I can make sure the bikes are running smoothly by test-driving them after repairs.

I hope to meet with you to discuss this position in person and you can contact me for an interview by calling (123)-223-4535.
