Here is the Experienced Laboratory Manager Cover Letter Example:

Dear Ms. Verna Kesterson,

I would like to apply for the laboratory manager position that is currently available at your company Laird Technologies, Inc.

My education includes a high school diploma, a one year laboratory technician certificate and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. I also did a one year internship after earning my degree to get hands on experience and received training from some excellent senior lab technicians and scientists. This training allowed me to learn how to supervise and manage any chemistry experiment for instruction based laboratories. I also assisted in attaining price quotes and furnishing orders and purchases for the lab.

I have also assisted in completing all work orders for any repair that needed to be made in any of the laboratories departments. I was tasked with the regular inspection of the safety equipment to ensure that there was eye wash, proper broken glass receptacles and stocking the safety shower. This included collaborating with the maintenance department to remove and properly dispose of all the hazardous waste in the lab.

My computer skills are considered above average and I know and understand the software that is used in the lab along with all Microsoft Office applications. This is vital when contributing to debriefing and putting together the records and reagent from all departing personnel. With my verbal communication skills I can train new staff members and when needed mentor those employees who would appreciate a mentor to guide them in the lab.

Respectfully,

Michael Thorne
