Here is the Experienced First Year Teacher Cover Letter Example:

Dear Ms. Gordon,

I am writing with regard to the opening for the First Year Teacher position in your school, and would be very pleased if you would consider me a candidate for the job. Please find enclosed my resume, references and school transcripts. One look at my documentation will convince you that I am the best qualified candidate for the job.

Recently graduated with honours from the Bachelor of Education program at Richard Bland College, I have performed above and beyond expectations – both in terms of classwork and in each teaching practicum I was assigned.

The posting I found most rewarding was as a student teacher in the Paul W Bryant School alternative program. This particular program serviced students at risk of dropping out of school, not because of learning difficulties but because they were gifted and had not been sufficiently challenged in their previous schools. These young people sure know how to keep a teacher on her toes! I learned a lot from them – about any number of academic subjects, about teaching, and about myself.

My first aid and CPR certifications are all up to date, and I also have additional training in basic sign language. My interests include teaching exceptional students anywhere along the spectrum, English language learners, and integrating classical and modern languages into the school curriculum. During one practicum, I taught in a school that used a project-based unit study approach. That was also a valuable experience I would like to repeat.

Please contact me to set up an interview time. I am eager to discuss my credentials with you in greater detail. My phone number is ((555)-555-5555).

Respectfully,

Bo Lampe
