I am a journeyman cook with Red Seal certification, and five years’ experience in a large kitchen in a military setting. I have recently received my release from service, and I am looking forward to securing employment in a commercial kitchen.
I received my apprentice cook training at Callaway High School and immediately began work in the kitchens at March Joint Air Reserve Base military base. I have worked my way up to the position of Chef de Partie, in charge of supervising and training four apprentice chefs in my department. Additionally, I have worked closely with the Sous-Chef to plan menus, manage inventory, and requisition supplies.
Working in a military environment hasn’t stunted my creativity. In fact, I have been given the opportunity to develop recipes of my own and to create unique new pairings for personnel to enjoy. You will need a cook who can work in a high-pressure environment to staff your co-op and interface with the public while at the same time preparing food.
