I would like to apply for the position of Appointment Scheduler being advertised by Texas Children’s Hospital.

I have 2 years of experience working in an office where my main job was scheduling appointments and keeping records. I have a reputation of being efficient and reliable but I am moving to a new location too far away to keep my current job. For this reason, I would like to use my skills to help your office run more efficiently.

I have outstanding interpersonal skills that allow me to communicate with callers in a manner that makes them feel comfortable. I am friendly, professional and have the ability to deal with most any situation that arises. I am computer literate and I have knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Spreadsheets. I also have the ability to learn how to use other programs if necessary.

When callers need more information than I can provide, I have the ability to transfer calls to the correct department or person. I have experience managing and coordinating all communications that goes through the office. I have the ability to send out appointment reminders, cancel and reschedule appointments and to determine the importance of each call.

I understand that this position not only involves scheduling appointments but it requires getting detailed information from callers such as their full name, verifying all addresses and current phone numbers. I can also take accurate notes concerning the reason for the appointment and record all information in the appropriate place.
