Dear (use contact name, specifically using army title, such as Sgt for Sergeant etc)

Paragraph 1: Introduce the subject of your letter in this paragraph. If this is your first contact with this person, then you need to introduce yourself, and explain why you are contacting them. If this is ongoing correspondence then you should refer to your prior correspondence with date and subject.

Paragraph 2: This should be the main body of information and you can break this into two paragraphs if there is enough content to do so. Remember to remain formal and keep on topic.

Paragraph 3: This should be focused on closure. Go through your main point again succinctly, and make sure to create a call to action if one is necessary.
Print name here. This should be your full name with any army title included and it should be abbreviated without apostrophes.
